Leagas Delaney is to undertake a wide-ranging strategic review to assess what space can be taken by Reebok in the European football market. The project will involve Reebok's Rbk label.
The sportswear company already sponsors players including Ryan Giggs, Nicholas Anelka and Bolton's Jay-Jay Okocha, as well as having deals with Liverpool FC and Bolton Wanderers.
The project will be overseen by Andy Towne, vice-president of marketing, and Roy Gardner, who is European marketing director for the Rbk brand.
"Leagas Delaney has a terrific track record of building sports brands combined with a unique insight into the sport and business of football," Towne said.
Leagas Delaney had a long-standing relationship with Adidas until the end of 2001, when it shifted its account to independent 180 Amsterdam and TBWA\.
The appointment of Leagas Delaney does not affect Reebok's relationship with global creative agency the Arnell Group or Lowe, which works on Reebok in the UK.
Tim Delaney, chairman of Leagas Delaney, said: "Reebok is one of the top three sports brands in the world and we all believe it can be something new in soccer. And for us, it's great to be back working with a world-class sports brand."
