Lancome launches virtual makeup app for Apple iPhones

LONDON - Hot on the high heels of Maybelline's vibrating mascara and L'Oreal's roll-on foundation, Lancome is launching a digital make up application for iPhones.

Lancome launches virtual makeup app for Apple iPhones

The application - which will showcase the Aron de May collection - will enable  users to create custom looks on their phone by choosing different colours and combinations. There will also be a variety of make-up tips.

Lancome is also attempting to get on the beauty blog bandwagon with the launch of its own branded beauty blog devoted to make up: www.blog-make-up.com. The site will include tips from Lancome's army of makeup artists.

The site will be used to promote Lancome's products and follows the beauty industry mantra of creating cosmetic solutions to problems consumers never even realised they have.

These include the new 'primer Oscillation PowerBooster' a vibrating brush which conditions your eyelashes prior to applying mascara. The site will also include video demonstrations of how best to apply eye shadow.
