The event, called Kingstonfirst Bike Festival, takes place on 4 August and will feature a mix of interactive cycling competitions and urban bike displays in Kingston Market Place.
Farouk Deen, managing director of Cellar Door, told Event: "We are expecting 15,000 people to the event. What Kingstonfirst wanted was engaging content so we worked on putting together a mix of up-and-coming urban cyclists as part of the festival."
Performing on the day will be the Matti Hemmings display team. Hemmings is a Guinness World Record Holder for the highest number of cliffhanger spins in one minute – spinning on a bike with one foot on the handlebars.
Also as part of the family-friendly event will be the Rollapaluza, where two people can race against each other on a Countdown-style clock with split-second digital timing. The stationary bikes can reach speeds of up to 50mph and data capture will be used to transmit results via social media.
Deen added: "The calibre and breadth of exhibitors secured places Kingstonfirst in a healthy position to establish the Kingstonfirst Bike Festival as a regular event to attend amongst an enthusiastic growing cycling community."
Brands such as Bobbin Bicycles and Road Rags will also be exhibiting at the festival.
