The ad features a French woman driving a blue Renault Twingo Gordini, who stops to ask a Londoner for directions to Piccadilly.
The Londoner appears to be very helpful and gives directions in broken French. As the driver pulls away, the Londoner says "Get lost". The strapline "The Renault Twingo Gordini. Envy comes as standard" then appears.
The car, which went on sale in April, comes in Malta Blue or Pearl Black, and has twin white stripes over the bonnet and roof.
The cinema ad was produced by Publicis, with media planned and bought by Manning Gottlieb OMD.
'Eat, Pray, Love', which follows the story of a recently divorced woman who goes on a round-the-world trip to "find herself", pulled in £1,165,234 at the UK box office over the weekend.
'The Town' directed by Ben Affleck and starring Jon Hamm was also released on Friday. It grossed £1m and had 193,277 impacts. Another release, 'The Hole in 3D', grossed £906,722.
