The new series, which begins on July 10, will be hosted by Patrick Kielty and Fearne Cotton, with contestants confirmed to appear on the Fijian island also including model Jodie Marsh, Lady Victoria Hervey, Playboy-playmate-turned-DJ Colleen Shannon, former Eternal singer Kelle Bryan and Paul Gascoigne's step-daughter Bianca Gascoigne.
On the male side the contestants include Boyzone's Shane Lynch, muscle-bound musician from The Streets, Leo Ihenacho, and former Hollyoaks actor Lee Otway.
The additional content will be accessible through ITV's mobile portal on the broadcaster's , and will feature an interactive red button service where digital satellite viewers can access contestant profiles, the latest news and enter a viewers competition.
ITV said it had a team of journalists in place, who will combine the best clips, images and stories which can be downloaded to mobile phones and PCs.
The broadcaster had previously used its mobile portal for 'Coronation Street', 'This Morning', 'Dancing On Ice' and 'X Factor'.
Fiona Robertson, ITV's interactive commissioner, said: "We want to give viewers the best possible content, so we are sending a dedicated production team to catch the hottest moments exclusively for mobiles and online."
The second series of 'Love Island', which has a 拢2m sponsorship deal with chocolate bar Bounty, dropped its Celebrity prefix after the first series.
The debut series featured footballer Lee Dixon, glamour girl and ex-nurse Abi Titmus, Rebecca Loos and Calum Best battle it out to become the "ultimate celebrity couple".
