Presenting its 2008 financial results, the group was bullish in light of the ailing global economy, reporting a 10% operating margin and insisting that the nature of its business made it resilient.
The group said it would maintain its margins over 2009 and that it expected to improve them in 2010.
Ipsos's profit in 2008 came in ahead of analysts predictions, while revenues grew 5.6% to €979.3m.
Separately, Ipsos has forged a partnership with publisher Thomson Reuters to conduct multi-country polls on a range of topics including the economy, products and services, geopolitics and policy developments. The resulting research will be reported on by Reuters.
Richard Baum, Thomson Reuters' global editor of consumer media, said: "At a time when drastic upheaval and change is affecting populations all around the world, this polling will provide critical analysis and insight into the level of confidence among citizens and consumers on issues ranging from geopolitics to the economy, and will provide Reuters with important data to both explore and report on."
Ipsos has also this week acquired 100% of Chilean research firm Punto de Vista. The company was founded in 1990 and provides customer satisfaction and quality measurement data, predominantly to the finance, retail and telecommunications sectors.
It employs 62 people at its Santiago office and in 2008 recorded revenue of 3.6bn Chilean pesos (about £4.2m pounds).
Carlos Artentsen, its founder and main shareholder will remain the chairman of the company, which will incorporate the activities of Ipsos Loyalty in Chile.
