IPC's Marketforce appoints Sally Stillman for consumer research role

LONDON - Marketforce, the IPC Media owned trade marketing and distribution firm, has appointed Sally Stillman for its newly created consumer insight manager position.

Stillman, who joined Market Force in 2003 as its national accounts development manager, will work closely with marketing services director Christina Hartley, to develop parent company IPC Media's consumer and reader research.

Marketforce will be targeting supermarkets and large retail outlets with top level insights on consumer attitudes and buying behaviour.

According to Stillman: "The depth and range of the Marketforce portfolio means we are uniquely placed to gain a far-reaching and unparalleled understanding of the UK's magazine shopper, and I am looking forward to working with Chrissie and the team to deliver industry-leading consumer insights."

Hartley, who joined Marketforce in February, was previously group ad marketing director for IPC Media. She said Stillman's appointment is key to getting the consumer insight area at Marketforce up and running as soon as possible.

"Following my recent appointment in Marketforce, it was crucial to get the consumer insight running as soon as possible to help deliver to the Marketforce strategy of 'owning the consumer', and Sally is the perfect candidate to help us achieve that," Hartley said.

Marketforce provides distribution for more than 30 clients including, Time, Reader's Digest, The Sunday Times Travel Magazine and Future Publishing.
