IPC Media to sell ad space on its YouTube channels

LONDON - IPC Media has signed a deal with YouTube enabling it to sell advertising against its own video content on the website.

IPC operates more than 25 YouTube channels supporting its magazine brands, which include Marie Claire, Decanter, What's on TV, Web User and What Digital Camera. The publisher has uploaded more than 2,000 videos onto YouTube and has generated 38 million views to date.

The deal will see IPC initially selling advertising around content for men's and music titles such as Ignite, NME and Nuts.

The YouTube channels for NME and Nuts include videos of live sessions, interviews and news.
