
IPC has opted to work with Pluck as it looks to improve links between IPC Media's websites and social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
Pluck provides, among other things, media sharing applications and discussion tools.
It follows the appointment earlier this month of Cathy Ma, a former media consultant at Vodafone, as IPC's new social media product manager.
Ma has taken responsibility for the publisher's social media deployment and will work alongside IPC's publishing, editorial, marketing and technology teams.
Pluck, which is owned by Demand Media, has worked with clients including Hearst and The Guardian.
