IPC backs specialist websites with new ad sales division

LONDON - IPC Country & Leisure Media has launched an ad sales division to specialise in selling on websites including CountryLife.co.uk and Decanter.com.

The division is known as Calm Interactive Solutions and will be headed by Nicola Ponting, advertising and sponsorship manager.

Beyond ad sales, it will offer agencies and advertisers bespoke microsites, e-newsletters, sponsorships, advertorials and competitions. These can all be tailored to help clients meet their objectives.

Other sites covered by the division are , , ,  and . In total, more than 1.5m unique users visit the sites each month with 12.1m page impressions according to Webtrends.

The ad sales team will be supported by the in-house web designers who were responsible for designing, building and evolving the Calm sites.

Paul Williams, managing director of Calm, said: "Our fifty-strong magazine portfolio thrives because it targets consumers who love their hobbies and leisure pursuits. Our websites are the perfect place for these communities to congregate."
