Kemp takes over as publishing director at Country Life

LONDON - Sarah Kemp is to take over the publishing director role at IPC Media's Country Life magazine following Fiona Dent's move to the same job on Wallpaper magazine.

Kemp adds the Country Life duties to her present role as publishing director of Decanter.

The reshuffle also sees Clare Seel, Decanter's associate publisher, promoted to publisher. In addition, Simon Hare, publisher of IPC's Country & Leisure Media's equestrian group is promoted to publishing director and joins the IPC CALM board, reporting to managing director Paul Williams.

Williams said: "Sarah has done a fantastic job steering Decanter to continued success, and Simon has more than earned this promotion, managing our market leading equestrian brands through some of their most successful years. It's great also to reward Clare for her outstanding work on Decanter with her promotion to publisher."

The news comes just days after Clive Aslet, Country Life's editor-in-chief, announced he was relinquishing his position to concentrate on writing, with Country & Leisure Media editor-in-chief Mark Hedges filling his role.

Aslet will take the role of editor-at-large after 13 years as editor-in-chief of Country Life and his entire working career of 28 years at the title.

All appointments are effective from March 13.
