IPC appoints Cook as deputy editor for Woman's Own

LONDON - IPC Media has appointed Natasha Cook as deputy editor of Woman's Own, after a stint as deputy editor of another IPC title, woman&home.

Cook, who has been deputy editor of IPC Southbank's monthly glossy woman&home since May 2006, will deputise for editor Karen Livermore.

Prior to working at IPC, Cook was features editor at the National Magazine Company magazine, She. Cook has also worked on Take a Break, Bella, and Cosmopolitan.

Cook said: "Woman's Own is a magazine with an extremely loyal audience and I can't wait to join Karen and the rest of the editorial team and continue the excellent work they have begun on one our nation's best-loved brands."

Editor Livermore said: "I am thrilled to have Natasha join Woman's Own as we continue to bed down the magazine's radical new look. Her wealth of experience across weekly and monthly magazines and newspapers will be an asset as we continue to develop Woman's Own."

The appointment follows a major overhaul of the IPC Connect title, the women's weeklies division of IPC Media, earlier this year, altering the design and content of the publication. It followed eight months of research and development.
