Alcohol appears to have been replaced on the pallets by another addictive product, chocolate. Both Quality Street and Cadbury's have managed to find prominent places for large tins.
Christmas had still to make a direct impact however the prevalence of confectionery and cake brands hints it could soon be that time of year. Tesco also had ‘his and her’ gift collections while all of the supermarkets had mince pies on-shelf.
