
The fans will be invited to a cookery day in London for a blind-tasting session and cooking lesson inspired by Sunbites, which will result in a branded Sunbites cookbook.
The fans – dubbed ‘Sunbites flavour ambassadors’ – will be made up of 20 of the brand’s most active fans on its Facebook page and 10 winners of a Facebook competition to suggest a dish that includes Sunbites as an ingredient.
The fans will cook a five-course meal and their dish ideas will be developed into recipes by a food economist, before appearing in the Sunbites cookbook. The brand has partnered with Ocado so fans can order the recipes from the online grocer through the Sunbites Facebook page.
Initials created the cookery experience following its
George Eapen, marketing manager at Walkers’ Better For You range which includes Sunbites, said the activity was designed to raise awareness of the brand: "By immersing our 30 most loyal fans in a Sunbites world, using cooking as a hook, which we know Sunbites can utilise and our consumers love, it will give them a springboard to talk to others about the brand."
