The 65-strong team at The Fresh Group was a new entry in the list of small companies to work for, at number 73.
Event management company Drpgroup was placed 51, up eight places from its 2011 ranking.
Fresh founders Nick Porter and Julie Besbrode said the accolade was the company’s "proudest achievement" to date.
"It’s confirmation of the ethos and spirit of Fresh, the working environment and culture which has clearly underpinned our success as a business and enabled our rapid growth in just seven years of trading.
Motivcom, the parent company of P&MM, AYMTM, Goldserve and Zibrant has also made it onto the list – at number 87 of medium-sized companies to work for.
Nigel Cooper, executive director of Motivcom responsible for the events and communications division, said: "To achieve market expectations in light of the current economic climate was a great performance and we put the result down to the company’s significant investment plan and the quality of our staff."
