IDM launches fast-track course for top graduates

LONDON – The Institute of Direct Marketing is preparing to fast track 30 graduates into the profession, as part of a newly launched scheme to identify the best young prospects in direct marketing.

More than 200 students applied to go on the one-week intensive programme, called Graduate Fast Track, which involves presentations from a number of leading figures in the sector and a visit to agency Tullo Marshall Warren.

According to the IDM, the successful applicants come from a range of backgrounds including biochemistry and art history as well as marketing and business studies.

Those making presentations during the programme, which takes place from June 28 to July 2, include Bright creative director Chris Martin, Proximity London planning director Gavin Hilton and Lida chef executive Lisa Thomas.
