IAB attempts to lure brands on to mobile

LONDON - The IAB has created a best practice guide for marketers as part of a new drive to showcase mobile as an effective marketing medium.

, developed by Incentivated, provides templates for running campaigns and showases the latest mobile technology available to marketers.

It features a dedicated mobile area for advertisers and agencies looking for more information on the potential and efficacy of the medium; a live news feed; registration and events booking capability; as well as detailed reporting of visitors and their session information.

Jon Mew, head of mobile at the IAB, said: "Adoption of mobile media amongst marketers is steadily increasing, however it’s important for the IAB to keep teaching businesses the basics to ensure that they’re adhering to best practice from the outset.  We’ve launched this site to show brands how it should be done, whilst educating the market about the wealth of opportunity available within mobile media."

The site is compatible with all handsets and was built using Incentivated’s WAP site publisher platform.
