Hello! magazine reports record levels of web traffic

LONDON - Fresh from its bruising battle with Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas, Hello! magazine has said its website has reported huge levels of traffic, confirmed by ABC Electronic.

The site, which offers continually updated celebrity coverage, recorded 7,960,253 page impressions and 1,235,164 visits in March.

The surge in traffic represents a 33% increase in traffic on the figures for December 2002, which saw the site hit 5,984,414 page impressions.

The site has maintained a daily average of almost 257,000 page impressions for the month of March 2003.

Tree Elven, editor of Hellomagazine.com, said: "Millions of people already trust the Hello! brand to provide their celebrity 'fix' each week, and now they can get it daily via our colourful website. They love the news being updated throughout the day, the videos, royalty coverage, and all the interactive stuff that you can't get in the magazine. Also, we're attracting new readers worldwide thanks to our glamorous, respectful and upbeat approach."

The site features a mix of topical celebrity news coverage, photo features, combined with a blend of articles and interviews from around the world.
