Marciniak has more than 15 years’ experience in the sports industry, first as a sports journalist, then as a press officer at television channel Canal+ before working in sports marketing, and has been at Havas SE Poland from the agency's inception in October 2008. She was most recently responsible for strategy, PR and events for key agency clients.

In her new position, she will be responsible for overseeing daily business operations and client relations, as well as strategic and new business development for Havas SE Poland. She will lead a team of ten who work with renowned brands and stakeholders such as Adidas, The Coca-Cola Company, Hyundai-Kia, BP, Reebok and BNP Paribas.

Marciniak said: "As one of the founding members of Havas SE Poland, I have seen the growth and development of a strong team and agency with deep expertise and a proven track record. We have delivered many successful projects for clients around the world’s greatest sports events like the Uefa Euro 2012, which took place in Poland, and the Fifa World Cup 2014.

"We are constantly enhancing our brand engagement offer to ensure that both local and international brands can build emotional, long-lasting and valuable relationships with fans in Poland."

Marciniak replaces Plotr Pietrzak, the former head and founder of Havas SE's operations in Poland, who is now leading the Polish office of Sportfive, the sports rights marketing agency.

Lucien Boyer, president and global chief executive at Havas SE, said Marciniak has been instrumental in many projects around the Uefa Euro 2012 and more recently in the implementation of sponsorship activations around the Fifa World Cup 2014 for Adidas and Kia.

"Aleksandra will benefit from the support of a strong team on the ground and our international network of 35 offices in 24 countries. I am confident that Aleksandra will take our Polish team to new heights and wish her the best of luck in her new role."

Marciniak will report into Boyer as well as Malgorzata Wêgierek, chief executive of Havas Media Group in Poland.
