Initially about 35 hours of the UK show, 'Ultimate Guinness World Records', will be available to Joost globally. Additional content will be added each month, with Guinness World Records controlling its programming line-up on the platform.
Joost is the latest creation from the founders of Skype, Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis, which claims to offer "the best of TV and the best of the internet" and is available to users for free.
Ryan Tunstall, IT & operations director for Guinness World Records, said: "This is an important building block with our overall digital strategy, with Joost delivering a refreshing hybrid technology, creating an additional destination for our consumers to enjoy our content."
Yvette Alberdingkthijm, EVP of content strategy and acquisition at Joost, said: "We are delighted to have Guinness World Records on board and look forward to offering our viewers record-breaking content."
The internet TV service has recently been finalising negotiations with advertisers, in which it is reported to be offering exclusive deals to 20 advertisers for the first three months of the launch.
The site is currently at a beta test stage but will be launched next month.
