GN&M's consists of a content API, which allows users to search the database and download content from articles in a format that is easy to integrate with other web applications, and the Data Store, a directory of statistics curated by Guardian editors.
The content API and the Data Store are available for free in return for carrying Guardian advertising.

has already made available over 80 sets of data from child poverty in England to world carbon emissions by country. New data is added to the store each day.
Open Platform is a beta trial and the final version will incorporate feedback from partners.
