Global Beach launches automotive marketing company

LONDON - Digital marketing agency Global Beach has relaunched its automotive division as a new company, Autotorq, that will help automotive dealerships to reach consumers online.

The company is focused on improving the online nature of automotive manufacturer and dealership eCRM and marketing activities.

Former Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart has joined Autotorq as a non-executive board director.

Stewart said: "I believe the Autotorq management have made some bold and innovative investment decisions that have paid off and with their new range of services, represent a very compelling European partner to the automotive sector."

During 2008 the company plans to launch more advanced search optimisation and website personalisation features. These will take into account both a consumer's location and preferred online search route and allow dealers to engage more effectively with their online audience.

Jacqueline Mitchell, director of sales and marketing at Autotorq, said: "Many brands have a strong presence in the 'real world' of bricks and mortar dealerships or physical marketing materials, but they still need to learn how to optimise and integrate online CRM into the dealer business.

"That's where Autotorq can really help the industry -- by expertly aligning the latest marketing technology to current dealer processes."
