Glam Media launches women's lifestyle network in UK

LONDON - Glam Media, the US online network that brings together more than 500 women's lifestyle sites, is launching in the UK today.

Glam's network brings together its own flagship site with websites related to women's lifestyle interests such as fashion, healthy living, beauty, food, music, movies and celebrities.

The collection of content providers is constantly increasing and now attracts a combined total of 42m unique users in the US alone, according to comScore.

UK-based sites in the Glam network include independent publishers, traditional media and bloggers. These include Shiny Media, the UK blog publisher, which owns , and .

Glam Media offers brands the chance to advertise to a specific category of sites within its network, such as style/fashion and beauty, living, entertainment, health and wellness, and family.

Nancy Cruickshank, chief executive of VideoJug and the former managing director of , will join Glam Media's board of advisors.
