Gibson leaves RSA for role at email firm Return Path

LONDON - Richard Gibson, former commercial director at RSA and chairman of the DMA's email council, has joined email deliverability company Return Path as channel relationship manager.

Return Path specialises in helping brands deliver their email, allowing them to track and adapt campaigns. It is headquartered in New York and has offices in Colorado, Paris, Berlin and London. 

Before joining RSA, Gibson was head of list management at Reed Business Information and prior to that, list manager at Prospect Swetenhams.

He is widely known for his work as chair of the Benchmarking hub of the DMA's email marketing council and was responsible for producing the National Email Benchmarking Report and the National Client Email Marketing Survey.

Gibson's role at RSA has been taken over by Trish Dominy, who joined RSA as list manager in 2004.

"Richard was an excellent ambassador for the company and the work he did on email benchmarking for the DMA was ground breaking," said Rosemary Smith, RSA's managing director. "I am sure that he will be able to use his extensive network of contacts for the benefit of Return Path in the UK"

Gibson was travelling in the US and not contactable for comment as this article went to press.
