Dutch-born Reinders, who studied leisure management in the Netherlands before coming to the UK, joined Gallowglass’ Glasgow office in 2004, and has taken on increasing levels of responsibility in the intervening years.
Reinders said: "We’ve already been contracted for some major jobs over the next few months and there are still a number of tenders in the pipeline. Since the beginning of the year we’ve been taking on and training additional crewmen. The volumes of work will be high this summer – we already know that on peak days we’ll be deploying hundreds of staff."
The Scottish office will be calling on support from its regional crews, many of whom worked on the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. All of Gallowglass' crews have been trained and accredited with the Safety Pass Alliance (SPA) Passport, through its dedicated live events training company, Gallowglass Training.
Gallowglass has centres in Glasgow and Edinburgh, with teams regularly working at all major Scottish venues, including the SECC and Edinburgh Castle. The group has 15 other bases in England, Spain, France, Monaco and Qatar.
