The company has hired crewing business Gallowglass to construct more than nine miles of fencing to secure the site for the five-day music festival.
Gallowglass’ team is working to a three-week deadline, starting from 20 May, to install the 4.12m-high super fortress fencing system, which runs around the site’s four-mile perimeter. A second interior mesh fence is also being constructed as part of the work.
Rick Barnett, managing director at Eve, said: "Owing to the enormity of the project, we work very closely with the event organisers from start to finish so the temporary infrastructure is constructed on time and to exacting standards.
"We have been working with Gallowglass for several years now on a range of projects, and our priority, in addition to speed, is to work with a safety-conscious, professional outfit. We also know Gallowglass has sufficient resources to cover all eventualities."
For Glastonbury Festival 2013, Eve is also supplying more than 14 miles of temporary roadway, four vehicle bridges, crowd control barriers and walkways so that organisers, contractors, security and festival goers can move around the site safely.
Nick Grecian, managing director of Gallowglass, said: "We’re aiming for this to be the quickest build yet. However, the uncertainty of the weather, the challenge of Glastonbury’s Pennard Hill, and off-camber undulating ground, will certainly keep us on our toes.
"We’re deploying 14 crew for 21 days on the build, and 14 crew for 18 days on the recovery."
