Galloway, and his bizarre feline and robot-dancing antics, stayed true to his word and kept calm on hearing he had lost "one of his biggest elections to date" and came out of the house smiling and waving to a chorus of boos from the 'Big Brother' crowd.
The far-left politician said it was "unbelievably boring and turgid" in the house in his interview with Davina McCall, where he found out that his portrayal of a cat lapping milk was seen by viewers to be more sickly than sweet.
Last night's first instalment of 'Celebrity Big Brother' averaged 5.9m over the hour from 9pm, peaking at 6.5m. The second eviction show at 11pm was watched by 3.7m, peaking at 4m.
Galloway's time in the house was marred by arguments and he was accused by many of the housemates of being a bully, including Rula, who he decided to nominate for apparently trying too hard to win the show even though they had struck up a friendship.
The MP was followed out of the house in a secret double eviction along with US basketball star Dennis Rodman, who became the fifth celebrity to be evicted from the house with 23.5% of the votes.
Galloway's private and work life has been splashed across the media since he entered the house and he has come under fire from local constituents who feel let down from his participation in the show.
It appears he could lose many of the Muslim votes that won him his Bethnal Green & Bow seat, after television footage was shown of him laughing and joking with Uday, the murderous son of Saddam Hussein, during a visit to Iraq in 1999.
"I feel I have wasted my vote because I did vote for him, for a change. I thought he would stand up for us but it seems it's not happening that way," constituent Shaz Ahmed said in an interview with The Times today.
There was some good news for Galloway after he was saved from bankruptcy as the Daily Telegraph lost its £150,000 libel appeal that could have landed the MP with as much as £2m in costs.
'Big Brother' is gearing up for its live final on Friday with its six remaining stars vying for the winning place, including newly created celebrity Chantelle, Welsh rapper Maggot, shamed comedian Michael Barrymore, plastic fantastic Pete Burns and Ordinary Boys singer/guitarist Preston.
