Future, which publishes titles such as PC Gamer, Health & Fitness and Junior, has launched the website following research, which revealed women are spending an average of £634 a year on gadgets and technology.
The is backed by T3 magazine, which follows the latest trends in technology. The website has been designed to inspire women to buy the latest stylish products, from MP3 players, videogames and phones through to gadgets used by celebrities, and sex toys.
Joining Future to lead a team of writers and contributors is senior writer Jessamy Hawley, who has a mix of editorial and fashion experience from working with Gucci and health and lifestyle titles abroad and in the UK.
"Girls today are proud of their gadget wardrobe. GadgetCandy.com celebrates this by uncovering the hottest new additions and trends, be it glitzy iPod accessories or the season's must-have mobile," Hawley said.
Current features include: the Flower Power light designed by model and photographer Helena Christensen, which costs £35 from Habitat stores and can be used in a variety of ways such as a table decoration or fixed on a wall; and Dry Humour, electric footwear dryers developed by Norwegians to help dry your wet shoes or simply warm your feet up before you step into your shoes. James Beechinor-Collins, editor of T3 magazine, said: "With many women swapping lipstick for memory sticks, we knew there was massive potential in creating a new female-focused spin-off from the T3 brand. GadgetCandy.com is a re-imagining of T3 for women."
