Fans will be offered club news, information and special offers via a regular email newsletter. The newsletter will then encourage fans to access the website and receive other digital services such as live commentary on Fulham TV and breaking news alerts.
Emma Taylor, marketing manager of Fulham FC, said: "We were looking for a way to engage in regular communication with our fans and email proved to be the ideal medium."
She said that E-Relationship Marketing had been chosen so that the club could develop and distribute its own emails. "This is the best solution for us as we retain control over distribution and can quickly change or add content to ensure that each communication is bang up to date with the latest club news."
E-Relationship Marketing is providing two services to help Fulham run the email newsletter, and will provide support if it is needed.
Fulham FC was languishing in the second division in the 1990s, before Harrods owner Mohammed al Fayed took over the club and lavished much-needed funds on it. It is now in the top five teams of the Premier League, having had an excellent start to the season.
