Foster's won by EHS Brann Cirencester

LONDON - The international brewing group Scottish & Newcastle is understood to have appointed EHS Brann Cirencester to the £5 million direct and digital marketing account for Foster's.

The agency landed the business following a three-way contest against Claydon Heeley and LIDA. The incumbent agency, Harrison Troughton Wunderman, was not involved in the review.

EHS Brann Cirencester will take responsibility for creating a digitally focused customer relationship management campaign for the lager brand.

The appointment will come as a blow to HTW, which was handed the business just 18 months ago following a four-way pitch.

It is not known what effect the decision will have on the agency's other Scottish & Newcastle brands, which include Kronenbourg 1664 and San Miguel.

The expected move follows the recent appointment of Sarah Warby as Scottish & Newcastle's UK marketing director, part of a reshuffle of the company's senior executives that also saw the former marketing director Tim Seager take on the role of acting managing director.

A spokesman for Scottish & Newcastle said: "I cannot confirm an appointment has been made, but we expect to do that within the next two weeks." EHS Brann Cirencester declined to comment.
