Sandhu said her aim is to fill a gap in the market with an agency that provides an "exceptional level of service" with staff hired for their individual skills in events.
"I realised there was a gap in skills, experience and professionalism from agency to agency and that there was scope for another agency offering highly experienced and professional event staff," said Sandhu. "This led me to set up Event Protocol."
With almost six years of experience working in events roles at corporates including RBS, Credit Suisse, Black Rock, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank, Sandhu is planning to target the financial and professional services sectors initially.
"Given my experience of the corporate world, we will target investment banks, law firms, and accountancy companies to build a client base," she said. "The events these companies put on are so high profile that the people supporting the event need to be as good as the event itself is. I found it difficult myself to get that exceptional level of service."
The agency is planning to divide its services into corporate, promotional and hospitality event staff, to ensure the most appropriate staff are sent to a particular event.
"People are spending a lot of money on events, exhibitions and hospitality, but often the staff are not that good at selling the brand, or are very inexperienced," added Sandhu. "Event Protocol plans to address that."
