Every independent school in the UK is offered a free listing on the site's school search facility -- from nurseries to prep, senior and sixth form colleges.
Parents are able to search for schools by age range, location, mixed or single sex schooling, and day or boarding.
More than 1,760 schools are already listed, and there is the opportunity to create an enhanced listing with videos, interviews and additional photography.
The site is edited by Gail Dixon, a magazine and web editor who has worked at Emap/Bauer, Future and the BBC.
Contributors include education journalists such as Nicola Woolcock, education correspondent at The Times, as well as headteachers, such as Vicky Tuck of Cheltenham Ladies College.
Dr John Newton, headmaster of Taunton School, said: "Taking a gold-plated profile with Tom-Brown.com has benefited us in many ways.
"Coming to us for editorial comment has helped broadcast our views on education issues, raising awareness, and the site layout made us think about how we improve our marketing in other areas, switching from PowerPoint to including more video where we can."
Media Clash, was founded by Greg and Jane Ingham, former chief executive and managing director respectively of specialist media company Future.
Jane Ingham, commercial manager of Media Clash, said: "Decisions about their children's schooling are some of the most important -- and difficult -- that parents will make.
"But with so much information available to parents from a variety of sources, we felt there was a clear gap for a simple service which brings all the key elements to help them make these decisions under one roof."
