Flybe to roll out improved frequent flyer programme

LONDON - Flybe is to launch a frequent flyer programme open to all passengers in what it claims is a first for the budget airline sector.

The airline said its Rewards4all programme will launch shortly, replacing the old programme, which was only open to business passengers. In the new programme, points are available across the full range of its flight deals.

Flyers can accumulate points irrespective of how they book their journey, but must set up a customer account via the Flybe , so they can redeem points at a later date.

Passengers need to accumulate 16 points to gain a free Economy Plus return flight, with one point given for a one-way flight and two for a return. Flyers can also gain two points for an Economy Plus one-way journey, and four for an Economy Plus return.

In addition, 20 points are needed to gain one year's free access to the Flybe VIP executive lounge.

Mike Rutter, chief commercial officer at Flybe, said: "The scheme will be a big attraction for those second home owners, city breakers and families with regular trips to visit friends and family, who are at the heart of our customer profile."
