
iPhone users love Flickr - Apple's smartphone was briefly the most widely used camera on the photo sharing website - but until today, users were forced to clamour through a clunky mobile site just to browse, or upload pictures through email.
The native iPhone app will make uploading photos, or videos, a breeze - which can be geo-tagged and added to sets - yet users are asking why Flickr neglected to include an option to share their photos via Twitter.
A new Flickr2Twitter service, which was launched in July, lets users upload existing Flickr content from their PCs directly into their Twitter stream, using a short Flic.kr url.
Users can also use email to upload Flickr photos to Twitter by email a special '2Twitter' web address, which sends out an automatic tweet.
The Yahoo!-owned firm would not confirm whether Twitter compatibility was in the works for an updated version of the app.
According to the per the finder page, which depicts the most widely used devices taking the photographs, Apple's iPhone was a close second to Canon's EOS Rebel XTi.
About 50,000 iPhone pictures are uploaded to Flickr everyday by about 5,000 users, compared to 100,000 Canon Rebel photos uploaded each day, by about 6,000.
