George will create interactive content for Flextech's wholly owned channels Living TV, Bravo, Challenge, Trouble and Ftn.
He will also be charged with creating an interactive strategy on poker and fixed odds to complement Challenge's casino entertainment, developing a full music video-on-demand service across Flextech-owned cable network Telewest as well as refocusing the channel's websites into advertiser linked content areas.
George joined Real Victoria in 1994 where he worked on trendsetting programmes including Channel 4's 'Big Brother', ITV's 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' and BBC One's 'Fame Academy'. He was appointed to the board in 1998.
He will report directly to Jonathan Webb, director of programming for Bravo, Challenge and Trouble and to director of television Richard Woolfe for Living TV when he assumes his role on February 2.
Webb said: "Jason is a fantastic signing for Flextech. He is one of the interactive elders and will lead the interactive team into its next phase of growth."
Flextech Television is the content division of Telewest Broadband, the broadband communications and media group.
Flextech is also is a 50% partner in UKTV, which is a joint venture with BBC Worldwide. It currently has 11 channels including UK Gold, UK Style, UK Food and UK Bright Ideas.
