The Nytimber Hub
At the heart of London’s biggest self-guided wine tasting tour is the English sparkling wine brand’s hub, where guests can kick off their day by collecting a £10 wristband that will offer them free samples along the way. Taking place at Bengal Warehouse in Devonshire Square, Nyetimber will be offering wine masterclasses for £15, free tastings and flights of vintage wine for £5.
Cape London’s Wine Stories
Wine retailer Cape London will be taking over Waterstones bookshop on Oxford Street for Wine Stories on 22 May. Hosted by wine writer and presenter The Winebird, the evening promises tips on pairing wine with food, as well as plenty of wine tastings.
Honest Grapes Taste Lab
Wine lovers looking for a new experimental way to test their taste buds should head to the University Of London’s Senate House at 3pm on 23 May. Test your palate with 10 wines and a Lab-style personalised experience that will help you to build your own wine profile with a wine connoisseur.
Cavalli Wine & Stud Farm
Cape London will also be hosting an urban point to point competition to introduce the Cavalli Wine Estate and stud farm in South Africa. Pick up an entry form with your wristband from the London Wine Week hub and go on a horse-themed quiz created by a London Tour Guide. Along the way, sample White Knight Chenin Blanc or Black Beauty Shiraz at the Devonshire Square hub. Prizes include tickets to Polo In The Park at the Hurlingham Club this June and, of course, bottles of wine.
Wines of Portugal ‘Discovery Bar’
This London Wine Week sponsor will be hosting a pop-up bar in Devonshire Square until 24 May, serving a selection of 12 Portuguese red and white wines to transport you to the sunny climes of the Mediterranean. No ticket is required, just simply turn up.
