Financial Times signs Tyler Brule for FT Weekend

LONDON - The Financial Times has signed Wallpaper and Monocle founder Tyler Brule as columnist for FT Weekend.

Brule will give up his column at the International Herald Tribune to write for the paper, where he will revive his weekly column Fast Lane. His first column is due to appear in the April 26 edition of FT Weekend.

Brule will provide insights based on his observations on travel, trends and high-end consumer goods. His column will act as the counter-point to Harry Eyre's Slow Lane column.

Brule said: "It is with great pleasure that I have agreed to return to the Financial Times. I always enjoyed writing my column and I hope that I can continue to provide the readers with a valuable insight into the world of design and travel."

Andrew Davis, editor of FT Weekend added: "During his previous spell here the Fast Lane proved extremely popular and I'm sure readers will be glad to see to it return. We are looking forward to working with Tyler again."

Brule is currently editor-in-chief of cultural and business magazine Monocle
