Ex addict Anderton favourite to quit I'm a Celebrity first

LONDON - The C-listers might not have made it on screen yet, but already Ladbrokes is making bra model and former cocaine addict Sophie Anderton the favourite to be the first to quit the new series of 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!'.

Ladbrokes is giving odds of 3/1 on tabloid favourite Anderton to quit the show. The model has been warned by another recovering addict Tara Palmer Tompkinson, who previously appeared on the show, that she will find jungle life hard to cope with.

Ladbrokes spokesman Warren Lush said: "We think Sophie will walk first and she is a hotter favourite to quit than Daniella Westbrook was in the last series. Bookies fancy she's in too delicate a state to survive the cut and thrust of the jungle."

The bookmakers have made former All Saint Nicole Appleton the 3/1 favourite to win the show and Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell the favourite to be voted out first at 2/1.

"Burrell may have burnt a few bridges in his time but we think he'll be walking across the bridge when the first celebrity out is announced. The fact that he could take on the role of housekeeper and camp chef could save him, however," Lush said.

Other odds are also moving, with money attracted to former 'Starsky & Hutch' actor Antonio Fargas seeing his odds cut.

"We have seen money for Antonio Fargas and we've been forced to cut his odds to 8/1 from 14/1. Early signs suggest the cult of Huggy Bear lives on," Lush said.

The bookmarker is estimating that the industry will take a record £5m on the show with hundreds of thousands of bets.

"For bookmakers, 'I'm a Celebrity' gets bigger and bigger every series," he said.
