
Event Tech Lab aims to engage with event organisers and tech developers to promote new event technology.
The first Event Tech Lab evening next week will feature demonstrations of new event technology, a panel discussion on the future of event technologies and virtual pitches from a range of start-ups.
Event planners will be able to attend in person or join the open office session on Google Hangouts.
The panel discussion ‘Disruptive Futures’ on the future of event technology will feature Robert Dunsmore of GES EMEA, Liz King of Techsytalk.com and Liz King Events, NYC, Adam Parry of Event Industry News and Jamie Vaughan of Eventbase UK.
James Morgan, co-founder of Event Tech Lab, said: "The live communications sector is growing exponentially and with audience engagement being the crucial element as a driver for growth, the lab offers both event professionals and developers a means of collaborating and creating successful events in the future."
Damian Iracki of Showlslice will discuss how the sharing economy can be used to make events more sustainable by sharing event resources with other event organisers.
Ru Barksfiled of Gruve will focus on how to integrate differing event software applications into the overall event hardware landscape.
Jose Bort of Pickevent will speak on white label event marketing and community building, while Mike Piddock of Glisser will present on a mobile presentation application that engages audiences through real-time slide shows.
The audience will also hear from Ovanes Ovanessian of Weemss, based in Bulgaria, on new event ticketing technology that allows for automatic multi-language and multi-currency transactions.
Plus Jason Harmer of Get Workers, who is based in Canada, on the new staffing platform to poll and secure freelancers for event projects.
