Better known for quirky ice-cream creations, experimental food expert Lick Me I’m Delicious launched its Edible Mist Orbs last year to help diversify its product offering.
The orbs work by using ultrasonic vaporisation to produce a cloud of mist that guests can suck in through a straw to get an instant, zero-calorie flavour hit. They proved popular with existing clients including Google, Shell and Bloomberg and led to the acquisition of new clients such as Instagram, 3M, Xerox and John Lewis.
To target the events sector, Lick Me I’m Delicious partnered with the Compass Group to deliver six large events for its clients.
The orbs also popped up at events for Mastercard at West End Live in Trafalgar Square , Visit Manchester, Audi, London Zoo and Barclaycard. The success allowed the company to kick-start further development, leading to an early launch of its Logopop and Whirlwind machines.
