The vouchers can be sent by email and contain a secure code that customers enter on the to redeem them. They are available in denominations of between 拢1 and 拢100.
Eurostar also offers paper gift vouchers that are posted to travellers to be redeemed at terminals.
The move comes as the company launches a new online customer care service to answer customer enquiries online. Customers enter words or questions into a search box to find information. Those questions that cannot be answered directly are emailed to the internet support team in the Eurostar Contact Centre for a personal response.
Eurostar also says it has improved the Frequent Traveller section on Eurostar.com, introducing a new navigation system and added functions in the member section as well as enhancing its online virtual tours, which let customers sample a Eurostar journey -- from ticket purchase to travel -- before they set off.
Paul Charles, director of communications at Eurostar, said: "The internet is Eurostar's fastest growing sales channel and we are keen to make it as customer friendly as possible. The website is now even easier to use.
He added: "Enhancing the frequent Traveller section delivers these passengers a unique personalise service and ensures that they can get the most out of their membership of the scheme."
