Eurostar aims to generate traffic with TradeDoubler deal

LONDON - Channel tunnel train operator Eurostar has signed an agreement with TradeDoubler to launch an affiliate marketing network.

The programme aims to generate traffic to Eurostar's , via TradeDoubler's network of affiliate publisher partners.

TradeDoubler affiliates will be paid a commission for every Eurostar sale transaction secured via their site. The news comes as TradeDoubler also revealed figures showing a 390% increase in online travel sales between 2003 and 2004.

Will Cooper, chief marketing officer at TradeDoubler, said: "Affiliate marketing is a highly effective form of mutually beneficial online advertising and provides an economical option to advertisers such as Eurostar to increase brand awareness and drive online sales."
