A spokesman for Eurosport said it expected to launch the player formally in time for the Tour de France cycling competition, which begins on 3 July.
Eurosport has also launched a free app for BlackBerry and Android smartphones. The apps are available in an international version, as well as in eight language versions, and deliver live results, breaking sports news coverage, player stats, standings and fixtures.
