EuroContactPool expands with opening of London office

LONDON - The rapidly growing online business database, EuroContactPool, has further expanded with the opening of a London office.

Since its UK launch in spring, the Swedish company has seen an increasing demand for its services, as UK organisations target the expanded EU, which is the world's biggest single market.

EuroContactPool has added more than 4m additional contacts this year and now holds data on more than 14.6m companies in nine European countries, effectively supporting almost 70% of the contactable European business market.

Users can build a pan-European database online, using the list-builder, and download the data immediately direct to their desktop.

The establishment of a London office will allow the company to manage and develop partnerships, and tap into the UK's established direct marketing industry, according to EuroContactPool's marketing manager, Helena Ostlin.

"London is a vital centre for European business and has a great deal of expertise in direct marketing. As more and more companies expand their marketing across Europe, we can work with established industry suppliers to offer a truly pan-European solution," she said.

As well as adding new countries -- Greece has already been included this year -- the aim is to develop the information within the countries already in the database. For example, there are now 2.5m named French executives, enabling the targeting of named individuals within a specific type of company or job function.
