The redundancies were made during the course of Tuesday and Wednesday this week. A spokeman confirmed that Taylor was among the 10 staff leaving and that no other senior staff were among those laid off.
"The management is currently working on redeploying other staff in other roles," he said.
Ebiquita has issued a statement explaining that it is commissioning a new technology platform to allow it to deliver similar services to its Ebiquita Direct online service, which launched in May.
Neil Rotherham, Ebquita group CEO, said: "Changes in future strategy mean that certain job functions are no longer needed in the business. Where possible, we have redeployed staff into other positions within the group, but it is extremely regrettable that not all personnel have been found new roles.
"I and my co-founder and main shareholders are extremely committed to the future of the business and are continuing to invest heavily in developing new products and services."
