DVLA hires Agency.com to drive traffic to new website

LONDON - The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) will launch services to let drivers apply for and update their licences online.

The Drivers Re-engineering Project, which will launch on February 2006 will let drivers transact online at .

To support the service, Agency.com will develop online creative to target both first-time drivers who need to apply for a provisional license and license holders who need to update their details. The aim is to encourage people to transact online.

By moving the service to the web, the DVLA hopes to improve service speed, safety and convenience for consumers.
Agency.com won the account in a pitch against agencies, which included Profero and Dare.

Online media will be planned and bought by i-level.

PR agency Geronimo was also appointed to support the venture following a pitch, which included Red.
