Dulux owner AkzoNobel appoints MediaCom to £60m global account

The five-month pitch covered the company’s largest markets, including China, the UK, Indonesia and India. The company - whose brands include Dulux, Sikkens, International, Interpon and Eka - is understood to spend around £11m in the UK, while it spends around £60m globally.

MediaCom already handled the account in the UK and much of the EMEA region, and has added Argentina, MENA and South Africa following the review. It first began working on the business in 2007.

The company’s creative account was won by MullenLowe in London in March.

"We’re thrilled to be continuing our highly successful partnership with AzkoNobel into its second decade. MediaCom prides itself on long-term relationships with its clients, allowing us to truly understand their businesses and offer compelling and effective solutions to their key challenges," James Marples, global account director at MediaCom, said.
