Dulux signs up Rio 2016 hopeful Katarina Johnson-Thompson for Colour of the Year

Dulux has named British heptathlete and Rio 2016 Olympics hopeful Katarina Johnson-Thompson as the face of its Colour of the Year, which is Cherished Gold.

Johnson-Thompson, a 23-year-old Liverpudlian who holds UK records for the pentathlon, high and long jumps, was selected by Dulux to represent its Colour of the Year because of how she attributes her sporting prowess to her home life.

Dulux’s Colour of the Year is chosen by a panel of experts from the design, architecture, textile, graphics and research sectors. This year’s Cherished Gold is a "gold-influenced ochre".
