Disney XD will launch in the UK in August, targeting boys aged 6-14. It will air two new live-action series. The first, Aaron Stone, will follow a school boy as he saves the world as his computer-game alter ego and the second, Zeke and Luther, follows two boys hoping to become professional skaters.

The programme schedule will also include animations such as Kid vs Kat, Jimmy Two Shoes, Pokemon, Galactic Football and Dinosaur King.

The channel will replace the Jetix branded channel. The Disney portfolio includes Disney Channel, Playhouse Disney and Disney Cinemagic.

Disney XD launched in the US in February reaching 15.7 million viewers in its first weekend. The channel also launched in France in April.
