Derbyshire County appoints EMS for stop smoking campaign

Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust (PCT) has appointed Event Marketing Solutions (EMS) to provide a mobile unit for its 'stop smoking' campaign.

The six-week campaign kicked off on 17 May and features innovative ‘face ageing' technology showing visitors the damaging effects smoking has on the skin.

Experts will also be on hand to give advice about quitting.

"This is the first time that we have taken our service on the road in a mobile unit," said Derbyshire County PCT smoking cessation manager Tina Jones.

"By going out to where people are, rather than waiting for them to come to us we hope to reach new sections of the community and to support more people in giving up smoking."
